The Srosky Archive

A collection of Typography, signage, economical design, and inspiration. I’ve always been inspired by economic design, classic signage processes, unique materials, and all things print design. This collection includes signage from highways, nail salons, parking lots, laundrymats, pizza shops, tractor trailers, Chinese restaurants, auto shops, mechanics, locksmiths, and other everyday locations. This collection is mostly set in Philadelphia and the general surrounding area, with a few international exceptions. The qualifications to make this archive are totally vibes-based. Stunning work, unique solutions, questionable decisions, and ironic design are all themes across the board. While each sign’s origin story may be different, I would imagine that most are a product of decisions on the sign maker’s end and not a studio graphic designer. This showcase of supposed outsider design is a testament to the strength and beauty of subtle experimentation with a limited set of tools.
